Today, I was kept to the
7:30 departure with the big dogs. It
turned out there weren’t a lot of photo opportunities so the late start was not
a problem. Instead of moderate size
farms, we encountered huge dairy operations and residential neighborhoods. It was quite warm and humid today with a
gentle following wind and partly cloudy skies. Thunderstorms were forecast for Niles but did not happen during my ride. Lots of turns and some beautiful roads kept us busy navigating the route. Towards the end of the ride we
were treated to eight miles of the Mill Creek Bikeway. Unfortunately, I didn’t note the turn and
continued down the path for a few bonus miles.
Tom Dunn told me Niles was the birthplace of William
McKinley, the 25th President of the US.

I can confirm the birthplace of the president. They must have taken the sign down.

GO JIM! Sorry I've been so silent all this time. But I do catch up. Best wishes and happy peddling!
