Hot and humid was the forecast. Mild southerly winds would not be a nuisance. Today was a climbing day - endless rollers, up and down, up and down, repeat... Great fun if you like climbing; I do. I spent most of the day riding with Dan.
The highlight of today was visiting the small town of Maysville, MO. Each year, the DeKalb Historical Society puts on a welcome to the CrossRoads cyclists. We all wore our CR jerseys and met outside of town to form up two-by-two and ride into town. The school kids came out of class to line the sidewalk and welcome us. Harry and the other Brits gave them a foreign language lesson in what passes for English in their home country. I doubt many of the children understood one out of four words. We were treated to cinnamon rolls, PB&J sandwiches, lemonade, etc. If you are ever in Missouri, go out of your way to visit Maysville and tell them I sent you.

Yes, Chillicothe is the home of sliced bread.
Your photos bring back nice memories as I can recall some of those places as if it were yesterday. Be safe out there.
